Have Questions?
We're Here to Help
When should I bring my child to a pediatrician for a fever?
If your child is younger than 3 months with a fever, has a fever lasting more than 3 days, difficulty breathing, persistent vomiting, dehydration, or appears unusually sleepy or unresponsive, seek medical evaluation immediately.
Are febrile seizures dangerous?
Most febrile seizures are harmless, last only a few minutes, and do not cause permanent brain damage. However, every child's first febrile seizure should be evaluated by a pediatrician, and emergency care is needed if the seizure lasts longer than 5 minutes.
Does every sore throat require antibiotics?
No. Many sore throats and tonsillitis cases are caused by viral infections and improve with supportive care. Antibiotics are prescribed only when a bacterial infection is confirmed by your pediatrician.
How can I prevent dehydration during diarrhea?
Offer plenty of fluids or Oral Rehydration Solution (ORS), continue regular feeding, and seek medical care if your child has persistent vomiting, blood in stools, reduced urine output, or signs of dehydration.
